Hello all. I got my wiimote working on my thinkpad running XP the other.. I'm blown away by how cool GlovePie is. I'm way happy with it. I've never had any bluetooth devices before. Last night I was playing around for a few hours and I noticed another laptop icon on my bluesoleil screen. It wasn't connected and it said the signal was weak. I got really nervous. What are the security issues I should be concerned with when the dongle is hooked up ? Can somebody compromise my system ? I serached a bit in a few sites with no usable results. Plese forgive me if this has been discussed a thousand times. Can somebody point me in the right direcrion ??? Thanks a million. CM

In your BT device setting you can hide your BT Radio from other devices. The connection is most likely a Mobile phone or laptop nearby. If they connect (they should be require authentication???) all they will be able to see is your public BT files (as set by your settings).

BT wireless security is the same as wifi security it is all in the settings and the user. Remember just because you see a device doesn't mean you are connected to it. Next time you get on a busy train use a BT mobile and search who is on the training you will be surprised how many people have an public BT connection.
