Perhaps there could be a sub-section for Pen schematics and discussions on how people built them and where they got their stuff....

might be informative to the masses.

Details, details. Things to do. Things to get done. Don't bother me with details, just tell me when they're done.

i think since a pen is useful for more than just specific apps, it might be better to have a hardware section and then each project section, but then again you might not necessarily have a pen on the desktop vr for instance.

i see the hardware under each of the projects so maybe that will suffice but just thought a general hardware might be helpful. for instance if someone started on one project and needed help building a pen, they might miss good conversations under another project on pen design strategies.

just my thoughts, keep up the good work and thanks for hosting.

I see what your saying, you think I should make a misc section.  I have thought about making a section for Users Projects.  Or just and Other section.

Only thing I didnt know how fast or well this site would take off, so I am going to see where this site is going.

Thanks for your suggestion,

Dice :)

PS. About the hosting.  It my honor to house and help this project as much as I can. :)

Would you like a full new forum section with boards inside of that example:

WiimoteProject.com
-General
--General Chat
--Say Hi!

-Schematics
--Pens
--LED Arrays
--Other

Something like that? or would you like it
-General Hardware support
--Schematics
---Pens
---LED Arrays
---Other

I think the general hardware support would be good as well, especially for things like hooking up your wiimote to the pc.

Well we already have General Hardware, but I guess thats not really support.  I am going to think about how we want the structure of the forums to be.

Thanks for your input!

No problem:)
I think it's best to have all the hardware related stuff together, because it's almost the same in each project forum, so you might just as well combine it.
I think the structure of the forums is pretty good, when i first came here, i was like wow! awesome structure, and i immediately found what i was looking for and what i was expecting to find at the subforums. Keep up the good work;)

How does the new Hardware section look?  Are there any other forums that you think may be overlapping?

Thanks for all your help

Seems fine now, though I personally would add "Connecting Wiimote" in the hardware support subforum, since it's a quite common question. Now all the can't connect my wiimote questions are scattered through the different projects, so if new people come, they won't find that information on their first view (could be important to avoid some "spam" like messages). Just my 0.02
Glad i could help. And thank you for making this great website/community forums, this really is a great addition to the great work of Johnny Lee.

Greets,
Bart

Thanks again

Awesome ;D totally like the forums now. You're quick on making things work.
I think the shoutbox is cool, but i guess it just slows the page down, and people respond pretty fast on this forum. If you'd want to have the ability to respond immediately to people, then IRC could be an option to give direct support.
Thanks for listening to other people's views, it really makes the forums even better than they are right now.

Greets,
Bart

ps. you could change the thread's name, since it's not about pen design conversations anymore  ;D (sorry i'm a forum moderator at another forum, couldn't keep my mouth shut  ;D)
