This is my first post so, Hello everyone..

Let me start by sayin, Johnny Lee, You Rock..

I wanted to ask if someone had any experience with the chinese made Wiimotes sold by chinese sellers on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-Wii-Remote-Nunchuck-Game-Controller-Skin-4-SET-/330425547435?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item4ceee5baab&autorefresh=true

Are they any good, or like bad knockoffs???

I dont have a Nintendo Wii, I'm really a keyboard and mouse kinda gamer, So I do not intend to use the Wiimote with Nintendo Wii.. I'm only interested in these projects we have here.. so I dont care if these Wiimots wont preform well on Wii system, as long as they would do the job as good as it can be regarding the projects we have here..

Thanks in advance

Hi,

It is not recommended to use the non-genuine Wiimotes. Usually, the IR camera is inferior to the original Wiimote where the tracking will be very bad.

In fact, it actually works reasonable well for Wii games as the games do not rely much on the IR sensor.

To save you a lot of troubleshooting issues, just get yourself a genuine Wiimote. :)

Boon Jin

I fully agree with BoonJin on this, the Wumotes as I have seen them called are not good for these types of projects.

Hardware ID: (VID = Nintendo, PID = Wiimote)
        Works=HID\VID_057e&PID_0306

but mine is
 DontWorks=HID\VID_0001&PID_0002
so my wiimote is detected as hid but not as wiimote so glove pie doesnot work i m not so advanced in programing to  make a patch to support mt wiimote in glovepie so my wiimote is useless for now  ...
expecting someone to help.....
