Why can't BoonJin's software be modified to use regular webcams? No, I guess it can't, it relies on the wiimote's point tracking doesn't it?

I were searching about this too. Why you don't promote the "Low-Cost Multi-touch Whiteboard" by doing a software compartible with webcams? all this will be more popular.

Hi,

Ordinary webcams have latency issues and low resolutions. This may cause slow response for the tracking of the IR pen. High-end webcams may do the job well but it may be more costly in comparison with the USD40 Wiimote. Furthermore, a IR band-pass filter is required.

Another setback is that the webcam will be wired in comparison to the wireless Wiimote. This is important due to the positioning of the device to capture the screen.

Boon Jin
