I buy a remote control with on-off function, and then test it with 3 volt leds, this could be the solution for remote control of wiimote.

The remote is powered by AC, so no need power adaptor, the seller said it can achieve 50 meters with line of sight, but I don't test it that way, what I test is I bring the remote away for about 15 mtrs blocked by 4-5 walls and it still works.

I read it here that there is a concern about interfering frequency that other remote can trigger the led, and the concern is valid, because when I use another remote, it triggers the led, but I have not change the jumper yet, so more experiments are needed to conclude better judgement.

In the mean time, I will synchronize the jumper between the remote and the receiver and will let you know the outcome.
