the laser is not effected, however the led is not fixed on the pen housing and can therefore be pushed into the view of the laser if not careful.

Comments and Feedback / Re: B/S/T Section

I like the idea of a by sell trade section of this forum. I think it will be a easy place for those looking to buy parts for the Wiimote. I currently sell the pens I make but I would also like to find other accessories, such as projectors, stands and mounts.

thats my 2 cents anyway

John I love the look of your pens and I think they will work great in a class room. I have also received a lot of response to the pens I have been selling. . I have been shipping internationally and could give you pointers on how to do so. Good job on your pen keep up the good work.

True, I agree no such thing as a dumb question. Quickly though you can test the IRLED using a video camera, web cam, or camera phone. One if not all of these should see the IRLED when lit.

Another tip is to make sure your positive and negative points are correct. If it does not work one way flip the points and test again.

Hope this helps.

I don't mean to butt in on this, however I just recieved some feedback on my pen design and would like to see what is prefered. On my pen the button for the IRLED is closer to the IRLED side of the pen. Is this what is prefered? The comment I recieved was that the individual would rather have the button in the middle of the pen. Please let me know, I am trying to improve on my design and any and all comments are welcome.

thank you

IR Pens / New Light pen concept
« on: August 28, 2008, 12:04:56 PM »
I have been fooling around with a new light pen concept and wondered if it was worth my time.
I wondered if anyone would like to see a wireless mouse remote combined with a light pen?

Let me show you what I mean. See this picture. This is of a wireless mouse remote.

it is usb and the circle pad controls the mouse and below that there are left and right mouse click controls. Also there is a thumb rocker on the right to control power point and other presentation programs. It is also equipped with a Laser.

I was thinking of some how adding a IRLED to this device making it an all in one presenter unit. What are your thoughts would any of you like to see a pen like this?

Let me know.

thank you

I was wondering or searching rather for opinions of anywone who has purchased my pens. I really would like to hear from you so that I can improve my product.

1. How is the pen working for your needs?

2. How are you using the pen? ie the class room, sales presentations etc.

3. What improvements if any would you like to see made on the pens?

4. open comments

Looking forward to your reponses.

thank you

Yeah sorry about the outside of the USA shipping costs I wish I could avoid that if anyone knows a cheap way to send stuff over seas I am open to suggestions.

Yes the batteries are replaceable and the battery life is very good on them as long as the buttons are not depressed when the pen is placed in the case.
