Wiimote Smoothboard / Re: Best way to position the Wii Remote?!
« on: July 16, 2011, 02:36:59 PM »
Please help me! I am using the Wii Mote Whiteboard hack by Johnny Chung Lee. I have bought all the materials for it. I am actually using it as a Wacom Cintiq alternative to draw advanced digital art with. I have gotten to the point where I can draw on my screen but I have yet to find just the right position for the Wii Remote where it is accurate without there being any blind spots. So my question is, what is the best position of the Wii Remote for me to draw directly on my screen?

Answers much appreciated!

Hi Sahiya,

Usually, I will recommend placing the Wiimote at a side about 45 degrees from the screen.

You may use Smoothboard's Calibration Viewer to determine whether there is any area of the screen that is not being tracked by the Wiimote. Also, you are also able to increase the tracking utilization by adjusting the Wiimote based on the Calibration Viewer.

Regards,
Boon Jin

Thanks for your help.
