Title: Wii Sensitivity Settings
Post by: legojoe on January 09, 2008, 05:37:23 PM
Hi, I was wondering if the sensitivity settings on the Wii affect the Wii remotes or the infrared bar. Does it store a setting within the controller itself, so we can make the camera pick up infrared light easier?

Well, I have my suspicions... I just checked with a camera to see, if I could discern any difference in the brightness of the leds when I change the sensitivity setting.

I could not... but did you know, that the "sensor bar" starts to blink, when you enter the sensitivity settings? I wonder why.

Another question that comes to mind, is that if the sensitivity really adjusted the sensitivity of the wiimote's camera, then why is this setting not available for each wiimote? OK, it is simpler to set it only once... If there is only one "central" setting, it probably gets transferred when the device is paired to the console.
