you can buy a LED pen from walgreens for five dollars. if you have a soldiering iron it is very easy to replace it with an ir bulb.

How is this LED pen activated?  Does it have an on switch at the tip?  The end?  Does it have a button which needs to be depressed by your finger to activate or stay activated?
