I have been working on my IR pen and am enjoying the challenge. I was just at the store and I saw one of those energizer cell phone quick charge packs and I thought Man! Batteries, Button, in a clean little pack. If I am successful in getting this wiimote whiteboard to work and the folks at work want me to make more I'm going to try converting the battery charger.

Anyone have any additional ideas or comments?

I was thinking about the idea of using a rotary nose hair trimmer.  If you can get past the fact that you are standing in front of a lot of people with a nose hair trimmer in your hand, the ones that I have seen are a little bigger than a fat marker with a nice looking and shaped plastic housing.  They have a built-in battery holder (one AA) and if you remove the motor and trimmer parts there is lots of room for the LED and some sort of switch.  You can get these trimmers for $5- $10 at the local store, or $10 -$15 on-line.

I am currently trying to think of a way to have a tip activated switch and still have the LED at the tip.
