Hello,

I purchased two economy pens and am experiencing difficult with getting the wii remote to detect them. I've tested to see if they IR Pens work through using cameras and believe that the wii remote is connected to the PC because I can press A to get to the calibration scene and SmoothBoard software notify's me of the battery percentage.

I can not get any software to detect any IR dots regardless of the positioning. I have even tried pointing the pen directly at the wii remote to no avail.

Any tips on how to proceed?

Hi,

Are you using a genuine Wii Remote?

Usually if the battery percentage is shown, the Wiimote should be connected.

Also, where did you purchase the IR Pens from?
