I have been using the blue tube pens from educon tech from Nov 2010. The clear bulbs on the tip I figured were blocking the emissions so I popped them off and the LEDs are "out there" . The resolution has become cruddier every week so I am trying to devise a better pen.
I also have a Sabre (not 2.0) from somewhere else that is finnicky.
NOW, my wiimote is mounted on the ceiling (10 foot ceilings) and is 14 feet from my wall where I project a big image that is approximately 8 feet by 12 feet.
I just order a whaleboneir IR which has the IR bulb facing backward. I will report how that works.
Otherwise, I think I need:
1.) a stronger IR source for the wiimote to see that far
OR
2.) to add a second wiimote and put them closer to the screen to work better. Do the wiimote field of view work in tandem (ie make a wider view to see my whole wall) or do the fields of view need to overlap?
Sweet project. Glad I found you guys...
