I have now successfully made an IR-pen. I have tried to position the Wii remote both in front of the screen and to the left side and that seem to work quite well. My first problem is that the calibration seem doesn't seem to work that very well. When I move the pen one inch or something, the program appears to have calibrated it and then pops back to the software. My other problem is that all mouse movements seem to be reversed, which might be a bit confusing to handle. :P

Probably there is a very easy solution to my problems, but I have tried my best. Hopefully there is someone wiser than me on this forum. :D

I don't know anything about mouse movements being reversed, but I think I know why it's quitting calibration too soon!

I had that problem all the time until I used a better battery and a better LED.  Another thing I did was put a sheet of paper over the whiteboard, and touch the LED to the paper.  I figured this would reduce any chance of glare or reflection or something else that might show up as a second mouse-click.

One more thing that caused this problem with me was faulty wiring.

Good luck!

It happens sometimes when the button is not very good, so, if it turns on and off because it doesn't makes contact very good, it will be as many clicks, so it will take that points as calibration points, look if your button works well, I know it sounds a bit dumb, but sometimes the most simple thing is the answer.

Maybe you positioned your wiimote upside down?
