See THIS

A small USB rechargeable LED light for only 2,95 euro. I replaced the switch by a momentary one and the white LED by an IR Led with a 22 Ohm resistor.
I have two versions: a front version pointing to the screen and a side version pointing sidewards to the WiiMote.
As soon as I have positive testresults I will post them.

I have moderate to good results with this pen when using my laptop screen. The forward pointing version is a bit more accurate. Next test will be with projection screen.

With Vishay TSAL5300 and a 33 Ohm resistor all three versions
1. IR LED outside
2. IR LED outside sideways
3. IR LED inside
worked very well on a whiteboard. It feels like a crayon.

The 1. IR LED outside I now also have as a push-tip!
