General Hardware Talk / wiimote battery pack with on/off switch
« on: October 31, 2010, 11:57:12 AM »
I've noticed that the wiimote consume some battery power even when is off.
So i'm looking for a battery pack with a on/off switch or some trick to electrically disconnect the battery when the controller is not in use.

Bluetooth & Connectivity Help Center / Autoconnect with BlueSoile
« on: September 17, 2009, 03:05:04 AM »
I have some weird connection problems. I work with windows7 RC and a Belkin Mini Bluetooth Adapter. Windows 7 connects my wiimote but no Application(like Wiinremote or GlovePie) worked. The funny thing is the Autoconnect tools all worked fine. So I installed Bluesoile and now the Applications work. The bad thing is that now the autoconnection tools arent working. GlovePIE Works sometimes with the autoconnection feature but than it is not responding  >:( . It would be great if there is anyone who can give me a solution :D .  I want to build up a media computer with the wiimote as a remote for the windows media center. So Autoconnect would be great.

I hope you understand my bad english :-[ . Thank you!

Thanks! it worked for me, in a HP notebook. That's obviously a bug in the bluetooth software

IR Pens / Re: Problem for drawing
« on: April 28, 2008, 10:58:36 PM »
btw, you need a 200hz LED laser diode for a better precision..I found a youtube video where wiimote can detect IR up to 200hz simultaneously

but be careful, if its more than 200hz the wiimote would not able to detect your IR pen..

sorry for giving a wrong info, You need to mod your wiimote for that, its connected to a 12C micro controller so that you can have a better tracking quality

Uninstall your bluetooth drivers and download the Toshiba bluetooth stack for your operating system. The windows stack doesn't work as far as Vista goes.

That simple little fix took me far too much time to figure out. I feel like an idiot, but it seems nobody else has the easy answer, so *shrug*.

edit: This is for the problem where you can get the Wii connected and seemingly interacting with the computer (sending packets), but nothing happens in, say, Wiinremote when you spam the buttons.
