Wiimote Project

inio, sorry for the delay in the reply. i was hoping the wide angle would allow the wii mote to better detect the led when the led was pressed against a board with the wiimote placed behind you. i unfortunately have gotten really busy with school and work and havent had a lot of time to even finish building my first pen. i do appreciate the links though. i will definitely have to look into those leds. thanks again

i've been thinking about doing something very similar. my idea however involves using the mechanism already contained within a "click" pen. the pen would essentially be held backwards with the led mounted in or on the clicker part. one benefit, if it can be seen as one, would be the possibly of having a light that could stay one if so desired (by clicking the pen) or only on when pressure is applied. i'm not very good electronically, so i haven't figured out an exact design, but it shouldn't be too difficult. i have screwed around while holding a pen backwards and the usually pressure applied when writing is sufficient to depress the clicker, but not enough to fully click the pen. if you have any ideas, please let me know. also, if you can think of or notice a pen big enough to hold at least 1AAA battery, let me know. thanks
