Isn't in dangerous to use so many diods to shine at you like in the tracking fingers project? I was trying to find something about this on the internet but found only that it's very dangerous with high emmiting infrared light although remotes and such are usually safe because of safety regulations.

S what do you think about this? After reading about laser safety on wikipedia I'm not very comfortable with looking directly at an infrared diode since I can't tell whether it "hurts" or not.

Hello everybody,
I got really interested in this project recently and before I realized what I'm actually doing I bought a wiimote even though I don't own the wii console, made a quick infrared pen and now I have my own whiteboard setup :) all thanks to Johnny Chung Lee.

I'm currently thinking about chossing this as my bachelor work - something like a photo gallery which you would be able co controll with your fingers from the comfort of your chair.
