Thanks for the idea dice. I think next time I'm at walmart I'll look for what you're referring to.  What is the charger meant to go to?  Is it in electronics by the phone accessories, or by the video game accessories?  Thanks again

Dice, thanks again for the response.  Do you know how long the batteries would last, continuously using the wiimote as an IR sensor?  I'm trying to weigh my options.  thanks.

Thanks for the info Dice.  Do you think I can purchase an adapter that changes the usb connection to a power plug?  I know they make these for phones, like the motorola razr.  I intent on constructing a mounting "box" for the wiimote that will be located by a power source, and not by a computer.  I have found that the wiimote does exceptionally well when mounted to the ceiling and angled at about 20 degrees downward.  I have also gotten the best results by placing the wiimote 8-10 feet away from a 6 foot screen.  I work in primary education and believe that mounting the wiimote in a "box" will provide a secure place to house the wiimote preventing multiple re-calibration and also to deter theft.  My only main issue is battery life.  Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I have successfully gotten the wiimote whiteboard to work and in my opinion this opens up a lot of opportunities in the field of k12 education.  I am in the process of testing everything to find the best solution to all my questions before I launch the idea into production.  My main question is, how do you permanently keep the wiimote charged?  Can I still use the wiimote while it is on the charging dock.  Thanks for any comments.
