Bluetooth & Connectivity Help Center / Input Problems
« on: June 14, 2009, 11:38:07 PM »
Setup:
Vista x64
Broadcom/Widcomm 2045 (currently)
RocketFish 2.0 USB dongle

The problem: I can successfully connect my Wiimote to the computer every time, and when I use GlovePie the lights correctly stop blinking. However, the computer doesn't recieve any input from the Wiimote. Inotherwords, the computers says the device is connected (as an HID) but it will not function.

What I have tried: I originally used the MS bluetooth stack and had the exact same problem. I tried the steps in the self-help guide, and finally came to download a new Stack. http://www.wiili.org/index.php/Compatible_Bluetooth_Devices says that my Rocketfish dongle will work with the newest Widcomm drivers, so I downloaded that. I tried following http://www.shootingsoftware.com/Widcomm.htm, but it seemed to have no effect.

Note: In BenPaddleJones's summary of Bluetooth stacks, he says that the new Widcomm drivers are very problematic. This conflicts with the information on the list of compatible bluetooth devices in the link provided above. I have looked for older versions of Widcomm that are compatible with Vista x64 but have not found any.

The attached picture might shows my device manager. I appreciate any help that you guys can give me. I have spent a long time trying to figure out what is wrong, but I have not had any success.
