The use of Wii-sensores are documented at various sites likte http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Main_Page

Also there are various examples using Arduino boards available on the net

Wiimote Desktop VR/Head Tracking / Re: Wii Head Tracking Game
« on: December 09, 2010, 03:48:30 AM »
Hi!

This is a modified version of Johnny Lee's program

A while ago I made several changes to the code - not really hard to do and I think its relatively easy to do this yourself (the game I mean)

add a bunch of targets
increase distance slowly
remove a target when it passes behind you
stop or restart when you collide with a target

to add difficulty - increase speed as you clear more targets
add counters (lives/scores/hiscore)

to read and learn more about simple games you can visit this site
http://www.gotoandplay.it/

flash/actionscript/papervision - but the ideas and concepts are the same.

Hello!

I use WMP (Wiimote plus) and NCK (Nunchuck) sensors for my RC-vessels instead of gyros and accelerometers

This gives me superior control - They are connected to an Arduino board that runs the code.

Not really related to your project but it might give a hint of whats doable :)

General Discussion / Flame
« on: March 18, 2010, 09:39:59 AM »
A really cool site/feature that is a joy to use with your wiimote is "Flame"

Go check this application out - and when u tested it for a few minutes with your mouse - start up your projector - aim your wiimote and start creating on the wall :)

Do not forget to post your WIIMOTE/IRpen images here when done

Happy birthday Wiimote :)

Hello!

I bought the reflective material in a store that sells fabrics and stuff (similar to http://www.fabric.com/)

The reflective material I bought is supposed to be glued on to clothes or items.

The array I used came from KEMO - but I replaced the diodes with vishay's

Project Ideas / Re: Wiimote-Controlled Coil Gun
« on: January 15, 2009, 05:58:08 PM »
I cannot determine which one is the most interesting... the servo-controller or the coil gun :)

As I'm into RC helicopters and robotics I find the servo-controller much more interesting than the gun itself or the fact that he uses the wiimote...

A wiimote-controlled RChelicopter would be really nice but there has to be 0 ms delay in order to work...I have friendw who are currently working on autonomous helicopters

LOL Ben!

I was at IKEA yesterday - looking at various tables that could be transformed into multitouch-tables.

Including that table...

I think it is very similar to various mouse DPI

In some games you have different settings depending on your gun, like a sniper

On a few mice's there are a button that lets you alter the DPI in the fly to adjust the sensitivity in game

So I assume the headtracking can be done the same way...

a very small movement initiates the turning feature

I can only provide you with the datasheet from Farnell and my own experiences, but as I havent tried 5300's I cannot compare...

If they are predicting hack it would be far better to go open source :)

If you are unsure about power - use the ledcalculator

We only use the IR-arrays for illumination - not tracking

Vishay TSAL 6400's are among the best - If you cannot get them cheap from a local supplier you can order them here:

Anything with vector is good as you get scaleability?. (spelling?)

If you get your hands on a cheap projector they might not reach the resolution you need.
