AH, ok I got it. I first understood that thoses dots weren't moving, that's why I was confused :D

I think it's possible BUT looks harder than it may at a first look. I mean, if others people must not understand the image, you can't just make the dots follow the guy to form the image ; you must also hade some randomness when placing and choosing what points will be at what position, etc. sounds pretty hard to me. But, of course, I'm no programmer at all. Looks pretty interesting tough.

...Not sure to fully understand. I think I understood the method, BUT, I don't understand how it's displayed only to the guy in motion and not to the others. Maybe a schematic representation would help... ? :)

It's not only you, I tried, but that looks incorrect and a little buggy, I must have missed something ::)

Yep, even if it's usable, actually there's no game optimized for... And as you say we can't use ALL of the possiblities. And I think it's not realistic to think it can be really adaptated (yet).

But, porting to glovePIE could be useful, for example, if I could port the "minority report" style script, it could be usable as a mouse. At least in theory. Yeah, it's tiresome to wave hands in air BUT looking so cool :) for 3D perspective, looks like it will stay a demo for the moment...

Anyway, I'll try to do something with PIE.

...Isn't it possible to add a video instead of a picture ? Just to test ;D

Wiimote Desktop VR/Head Tracking / Integration of this cool idea

Hi guys !

Yesterday, I was thinking this project was so cool to stay just a demo. Two ideas came in my mind, so...

1/The "main problem" is how to integrate this into games or others programs. Maybe some of you already found this, but anyway, in case of, check http://www.trackir.com/ ; it's no more than just a commercial version of what Johnny did... BUT with a software that enable easy calibration, and wich allow the system to work with some games.
So maybe it's possible to use the software with it ? (Don't know if we can buy it separately, tough) Recreating a software like this looks hard.

2/If I talk about GlovePIE, I suppose everyone here knows what it is (at least Windows users ;) ) ; I'm not a programmer, but the possiblities looks a little more restrictive than DirectX SDK. But, I was wondering ; is there a way (at least, is it possible) to port some of Johnny's programs into GlovePIE language ?
What's the point ? Well, It's easier to modify, I think, but mainly, it's easier to work on others apps with... Depends how the scripts are done.

Voila, that's all. Hope my english sounds good :D

Cheers from France !
