Bluetooth & Connectivity Help Center / May or may not fall here but here goes

Have issue with connections...well sort of.  Bluetooth connects fine but when running the Wii software for whiteboard the IR Dot is showing 1 2 3 4 and will not calibrate on whiteboard or even move the mouse on the laptop screen.  I have to kill the calibration for the mouse on the laptop to work again.

Could this be interference from another IR source or just a fake and dodge Wii Remote?

If I wave the Wii Remote it will track on the monitor screen but won't respond to IR Pens.

Thanks Ben for the input.  We were going to try with wireless tablets but they are too expensive over here at over $700 for a decent one.  The school I volunteer at is a poor school with limited funding (that is why I volunteer doing their network and workstations).

But hey if anyone has one they are willing to donate then send it this way  ;)

Wiimote Interactive Whiteboard / Additions done to Whiteboard Project

We have set this up at a school in New Zealand and found it very useful.  We went a little further and used a standard CPU instead of a Laptop and put on wireless networking.  We also added a Wireless keyboard and mouse and we can now type anything on the board from the back of the classroom.  We also found that we could install Interwrite Smart Board software and run that with the setup as well so that is a real bonus for any school.  Total cost in NZ Dollars was $284.00.
