ilpaina,

I want to put it in front of me, but I need to invert the Y axis and I don't know how.
Managing the wiimote calibration I fixed the Y axis but I also inverted the X axis, even putting the wiimote on the wrong side in calibration...clues?

I had the same problem.  In my case it could be solved by placing a mirror at 45degree in front of a vertically mounted wiimote.  I hope SW developers to include simple option to deal with it.

The problem is the mirror like surface that reflects the IR light to directions away from the wiimote most of the time.  Try using a "retroreflective" tape that reflects the light nearly exactly back to where it came from no matter how it is tilted.  You can easily find online sellers by googling "retroreflective tape".

I have a small idea.  Did any SW developer tried associating the blob intensity information to the mouse button state?  In this way we may be able to use our finger in the air more like ordinary mouse - click only when the cursor is at the exact location you intended.  We just need an index finger LED glove with a thumb activated intensity switch.

PS. Is the blob intensity information also available to GlovePIE scripts?

Hi, Stefan,

Never mind.  I solved the problem easily
by installing Widcomm and Bluesoleil together. =DD

Cheers.

Bluetooth & Connectivity Help Center / Re: Any solution for XP x64?

Hi, Benpaddlejones,
Thanks for such a fast response.
Good news is that I solved the problem
by reading what other guys are talking
about the BlueSoleil.
I never tried BlueSoleil together with
Widcomm stack assuming they may conflict
with one another.  I was WRONG!
Installing them together worked beautifully.
Now it's fun time for me to make an IR LED
glove with a little intensity switch.  =DDD

Thanks!

low light spot=track cursor
bright light spot=click & drag

If this can be implemented (although I guess it's already
done by someone here?), Minority report-like control may
become more comfortable, accurate, and practical with
a brightness-controlling momentary switch embedded in a glove
(and maybe actuated by the thumb).

In my opinion it will be fantastic to see it working that way.
Thanks for the great job, guys!

Hi, Mike,

That's great news.
What kind of bluetooth dongle and stack did you use
on XP x64?  I am so glad to know someone did it on XP x64.

Thanks!
Peter

Bluetooth & Connectivity Help Center / SOLVED - Any solution for XP x64?
« on: October 28, 2008, 12:23:40 AM »
I have spent hours figuring out what's wrong with my Kensington 33348 USB 2.0 dongle on XP x64, finding out BlueSoleil and MS stacks didn't work at all.  With Widcomm stack, I found out it's certainly communicating with my Wii remote because if I use the "Add a Bluetooth device" menu command, I can make a connected state icon and it also goes back to unconnected state icon when I press Wii power button.  Everything is very reproducible.  The only problem is that Wii remote is not recognized in the software I tried (Smoothboard from the Boon Jin and another) with the four blue leds blinking even long after the connection is apparently made.

I knew that XP x64 had some problem with Wii remote by reading Johnny C. Lee's intro page but I didn't know it is this tricky.  Has anyone succeeded with other brand BT dongle on XP x64?  Any help or comment???  Please???
