Wow - I was helping a teacher set up her Smoothboard and I saw the Smooth connect in action today. Fantastic. When will you have one available for a Broadcom bluetooth?

As much as I hate to have to pay for computer software, Boon Jin has a right to charge (what is currently a nominal fee) for his time, effort and creativity to bring us, such a useful and user friendly program. I even found that when I showed it to my school administration, they were so floored by the wiimote that they were willing to cover the costs. If the fee eats you up so much then go spend $1500 and get yourself a Smartboard.

I have found it works best if whenever I put in a hyperlink in powerpoint, I always make the background a square shape and then give that whatever color I would have used on the background. Then I insert a sound if the square is clicked. This way it does not adavnce to the next slide if the person clicking misses the hyperlink.

Wiimote Interactive Whiteboard / Re: Found a Screen Overlay Program!

I am look for a handwriting recognition that works with the powerpoint pen feature. What I envision doing is putting a PDF of a class worksheet on the slideshow and then have the kids come up to fill in the answer. Then with the HR part I want it to change the handwriting into text
A simple screen overlay is not good enough because afterwards I want to be able to go home and animate the answer using powerpoint, so that I have the answer already filled in for next year and I would be able to reveal it whereever I want in the slideshow.

Bluetooth & Connectivity Help Center / Re: connecting second Wiimote
« on: June 02, 2009, 09:10:12 AM »
I had a similar problem. I connected the first one with no problem. Then I could not get the second one to keep its light on. The difference was afterwards I tried to connect only the 2nd one and it would not connect to Smoothboard. It only let the original one connect.
So I went into my bluetooth neighborhood folder and deleted both wiimote icons and tried again. This time I used the 2nd wiimote first. It connected without a problem..but the first one would not connect. I am a little baffled.
BTW - I have blown away everyone in my school with this. I have kids looking through my classroom window just to see it in action. Thank you so much for making this accessable to the public.
