My friend did this mod on his wii so it could play DVD games.  This way, he has multiple copies of the game. He has the original and he isnt selling copies so it's legal.

You seem to be using the 5.0 version of the stack, which doesn't work with the Wiimote.  If you downgrade to 4.0, it should work perfectly.

General Discussion / Re: how long will the wiimote last??

As long as you have rechargeable batteries and/or enough batteries to support that much usage, it should be fine.  The wiimote is one of the most advanced technologies of our time and, based on it's composition, looks like it will last at least 4 to 5 years if maintained well.  I'm not sure what you are using it for, but it would be cheaper to buy parts to build Wiimote-type devices if you are not using all of the Wiimotes functions.

Instead of looking for a driver for only the nunchuk, look for one containing both the wiimote and the nunchuk and, if you know how, edit the driver so it's only for the nunchuk.  In addition, I also believe the I-Too is wireless and the nunchuk driver would have to be made compatible for it to work since the nunchuk is not built wireless.

Good luck with your project, and i hope i have helped at least a little.

Project Ideas / Full-Body Tracking Using 2 Wiimotes
« on: July 02, 2009, 12:50:59 AM »
I would like to know if it is possible to use one Wiimote to track both legs and another Wiimote to track the head as well.  My friend and i are trying to incorporate the following two things into the game Twilight Princess.

Movement:  By setting up a Wiimote near the floor with an Infrared LED on each of your feet, socks, or shoes, you can control the movement of the in-game character.  Depending on how much the player walks or jogs in place causes the character in the game to move.

Looking Around:  If there is a looking around option, head tracking would be a good way to utilize it without using the analog stick.  A second Wiimote facing your face with Infrared LEDs on your glasses, hat, or whatever else you want to use would allow this to happen.  It would not give the 3D effect of Johnny Lee's head tracking, but it would still be a great addition to the game.

I am in the process of learning to code and i would just like to know if editing of the game's code is possible.
