Ok, Johnny Lee has Allowed us to do Finger tracking with his  Wiimote Multipoint Grid sample programm and he has allowed us to do simple and affordable head tracking with the Wii and its technology.

Would it be possible to combine the Two projects into One?

i.e. the "3D" like target program appears as if it is coming out of the screen. We could have the multipoint grid work the same, but still be able to do the finger tracking thing.
It would make an interesting product...I would try it but i have no background with C# or C++ programming.

i would say the programm will go hay wire. because one project thinks LED=head. and the other thinks LED=drag and drop mouse.. it will mess things up...

point ATM: building V2
V1: 1 LED on 1 AAA battery feed
V2: 1 LED on USB feed
V2 will be remodded too V3
V3: 1 LED on USB feed /w LMB and RMB
V5: we'll see :3
Vmany: Bluetooth IR pen with mouse functions.

considering the other works of Johnny Lee, it should be possible to make the difference between the "head tracking" point-LEDs and the "grab grid" ones.

For instance if you initiate the program with only the head trackers, and then you show your finger, with enough distance between the points (let's imaginate you keep your hands in front of your pelvis), to let the program consider the upper half of the screen as "head points" and the lower as "grab points".

There might be a solution that allows to do this without having to keep the hands enough low... Johnny, an idea  :D ?

Another solution, which is just avoiding the problem is to take 2 wiimote instead of your fingers, and place a sensorbar under the screen. Just a mix of standard wiimot-on-pc trick and JL DesktopVR trick..

I am also wondering the same thing. What about just the use of one finger? instead of a wiimote?

how about we borrow from people talking about ideas for rightclick vs leftclick vs no click...

someone, somewhere (ive read to much today to remember where) said that for differences in clicks, the idea of flashing the lights at different frequencies to be detected by the IR sensor of choice.  This could be used to identify or label your hands and your eye-wear seperatly, thus avoiding that first problem you ran into.

or possibly (though it would take alot more work and know-how) creating a different way to seperate each light as its own signle and its own code... i dont know if you could use a variance in frequency of IR light (i know it must be a small range)  or if its possible for a IR reciever to use some other method of "labeling" each light source as its own, individual, and recognisable source.
