Hi everyone,
I've decided to implement a Wiimote system for my classroom, and am hoping to find some good info and advice on this forum.
Although Wiimote whiteboards are an inexpensive alternative, I don't have a digital projector, so that was the first hurdle I had to clear. Instead of purchasing a projector, though, I decided to go the other route. I found a great price on a 55" flat screen TV, which I have now purchased with my own money. I will also be getting a screen protector, either commercial or homemade, and I'm hoping this will be a good setup.
As I understand things, I will need to get one or two Wii remotes (remote plus ok?), a dongle for my older classroom computer's USB port, Wiimote software, and an IR pen. In my case, I may also need to get a video card for my computer in order to hook up an HDMI port to the new TV.
Then apparently I will need accessories for the accessories, such as a battery charger for the remote(s). Have I got this right?
It seems there is a growing list of sources where one can get hold of the various components, and I guess the main things I'm wondering about are the best software, a good IR pen, and if there's anything else in particular I should be paying attention to here in the early going.
Any and all suggestions welcome. I admit I haven't read through the discussion forums yet - it's a bit hard to know where to start.
Cheers.
