Hi my name is Chris Campbell, I'm 24 and from England.

I used to study artificial intelligence at Sussex, before switching to scriptwriting for television. I also run the main forum for freestyle nunchaku, the manipulation of nunchaku in creative ways (that's real nunchaku, not the wii controller).

I heard about the Wiimote Project some months ago, but only recently did it's full implications click.

I was wondering how far it'd advanced, and how long it might be until I could attach infra-red markers to real nunchaku and have a computer follow all the details of how I manipulate them.

Is there any word yet on when the 3D tracking may be available?

I've not had a chance to have a look around yet, just registered and came to say hi. I'm sure there's loads of interesting ideas here...

I'm not sure how well it would work due to the speed you'd be swinging those guys around, but here's a video of a fella that created a 3D tracking thing with four leds. If two wiimotes were set up to view different angles, then you would be able to track all three axis. Check it out.
