Hi, I'm Brenda
I'm finishing my masters in science education for middle school and am hoping to teach high school as well here in NYC.  I am presently a substitute teacher and between subbing and school I would like to be able to bring up links on preferrably a whiteboard but I guess a TV will do.  The problem is that while I am learning how to use technlology in classroom and it is required of all new teachers to be well versed in it,  the schools are not equipt with the technology needed to perform instruction in this manner.  Without the inschool equiptment, making lesson plans that include video clips from Nova and interactives online are basically useless.  My goal is to create my own portable for performing my lessons. I simply can't afford the $900 Onfinity, even if it is worth it.

Well you have come to the right place. All you need is:

Smoothboard Software       $30
A bluetooth connection       $15      or free if it's already built into your computer.
An IR pen                          $15.50  delivered to New York. I recommend my own Sword II, of course.
A Wii Remote                     $40.00
]A large computer display  $300 - $600 You really should pop for a good Digital projector on this one, but a large TV that has a VGA input will also work well.

Total $390 to $690
