Would it be possible to use the 3d drivers on Nvidia's website (http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dstereo_drivers.html) in order to have completely amazing 3d using a pair of 3d glasses on your desktop?

Also the Nvidia thing uses a wrapper around the driver.  How hard would it be to put this tracker as another, similar wrapper around the graphics driver so that you could manipulate any D3D game in the same fashion?

I was thinking the same thing, technicly it shouldn't be a problem.
Still waiting for my IR led's to arrive, but ones they come in i'll try it ;)

Edit: I just saw that there aren't any Vista drivers available. To bad because i already upgraded all my pc's :(

I was just thinking the same thing.
I have the edimensional wireless shutter glasses that uses IR to syncronise the screen to the glasses.
The only thing I can think of is if the glasses IR transmitter is in front looking back and your wiimote sensor bar is on you looking forward then there may need to be a piece of black card just blocking of the recievers just to make sure that one IR signal isn't leaking into the wrong reciever.

Wired glasses should be fine.
