Hi..first of all...thank you so much for these great, and shared innovations.

I was wondering if anyone adapted this script to work with a media player.
It could then be used for ridefilms or collercoasterclips.
this would greatly enhance the immersiveness of the ride.

it is possible, but the problem is, that you won't be able to fully look 180 because the films arent made for that. It really is a good and interesting idea, I'll look into it, I should be able to make this, but I'm fairly busy right now, so maybe in a week or 2 ;)

True..it will have it's limitations. However..most ridefilms and rollercoaster vids are flat, and the hollow projection movies that are there, are not available for downloads.
You can check some (older) ridefilms here
http://cgi-studios.com/Motion_rides.htm
and here
http://www.showscan.com/films_2.htm
a mega collection of rollercoasters can be found here
http://www.themeparkreview.com/videos/video.htm (if you register at forum, then in member area, there are about 300 clips)
and some 3d themepark movies can be downloaded here:

I worked on a hollow projection screen once, and i found this application perfect to quickly make my mediaplayer round.

it should be possible (but not absolutely neccesary) to convert movies as well

Anyway..this is about everything i have on the topic.. i hope some stuff was usefull and i really really hope we see a window-mediaplayer soon :)
