ok, when i try to open the headtracking program without the wii connected it says the wiimote isnt connected, ok. But when i try with the wiimote connected it says about the same thing but in a different way, it says something like,"cant find wiimote, is it connected?" Normally i would think that im not connecting it correctly but then why does it give me a different error when it is connected than when it isnt.  also, when my wiimote connects it stays with a blinking light the whole time, is that not supposed to happen

When I try to open the headtracking app I get the following message...

"Wiimote FishtankVR has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

A few more details might be handy.

BTW I don't have a wiimote connected yet, I am waiting for a bluetooth dongle, but I thought the program might do something else in the mean time?

The program is coded so it needs the connected wiimote to work or you get such problems.

If you want to run the program without the wiimote you have to modify the code to run without being connected

Okay,

Cheers for the reply, I'll wait till my dongle arrives, then give it another bash.

I'm not in the mood to start learning C# just now (which seems to be C++ but with the +s closer together and slightly offset).

On that topic, which is the preferred IDE for C#? I have access to the university's resources, so I can pretty much use whichever ones they have, or request other ones.

I'm also getting the infamous "encountered a problem and needs to close" message when I try to open WiiDesktopVR program.

I'm working on a Windows XP 64 laptop with a logitech bluetooth dongle.

BlueSoleil seems to work fine.  I can connect to the wiimotes, but I see pictures of joysticks instead of little wiimotes.

I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!
