Title: So what does it work with
Post by: Wiimote on July 07, 2008, 09:28:14 AM
This sounds great, but it also sounds like theres not allot that works with it.  It seems from the forum posts that you can't write a program to just overlay and make most things compliant.  But are there really that many programs for the DesktopVR and if I wanted to do something like make a 3D map would I have to go in and modify the way the 3D engine actually renders?

The program by Jonny Lee a demonstration of what can be done with the wiimote.

The source of connecting the wiimote is readily available and free to use so start coding ;)

Each application has to be specialy coded to comply with head tracking though correct?  You can't just start a application which creates the 3D illusion right?

Almost true...

You can use this to have a nice effect for a few games out there

If you want something else in 3d you have to do it on your own...as there is no built in support for that in say common applications
