Hi All,

I am new here and thanks for having this wonderful platform for us to discuss the Wiimote projects.

Currently I am working on the Wiimote related project aims to use the finger to control the PC instead of mouse, and perform the normal mouse operations such as click, double click and so on. Basically I will setup the Wiimote at the top of my monitor (may have some IR LED array surrounded it), then by using the finger (may with the refective tape attached) to perform the mouse operation. Do you is it possible and do you have any relevant info to share with me.

Really appreciate your kind assistant. Thanks.

Best regards,
Le Quan

Hey,

I did a project earlier last year where I used two wiimotes with arrays to basically use the users fingers to control a computers mouse cursor. If you wanna take a look at it the project can be downloaded here. If you have a wiimote, an infra-red array and some reflective tokens then my project should run properly but even if you don't my source code is included so you can have a look over it and maybe avoid some of the mistakes i made earlier on in my project.

Heres a video of the final product as well:

I hope this helps you :D

Hi All,

Instead of the finger tracking, do you have any ideas on the gesture tracking using Wiimote, I am currently involved in a school project that trying to capture some simple gestures using the wiimotes, the main concern I have so far is the accuracy of the capture.

Hope you can share some useful info about this project. Thanks!

Cheers,
Le Quan
