Hello, i was just wondering if anyone had thought about swapping the leds in something like this with ir leds to use with wiimote finger tracking. I ordered a set and some ir leds online and i'm hoping that it will work. also i did notice someone using these to make an ir pen for a multitouch whiteboard.

Hi,

It should work but the IR LED will be always-on and thus may be difficult to use as a multitouch input without modifications.

Your definitly right about that, but maybe it could be used for finger tracking where they're ment to stay on, or maybe a switch could be added like in the one katkind mentioned
