I have yet to experiment with finger tracking with the wii remote, (i have to replace the motherboard in my computer first) but I am curious to see if it could be used in a similar fashion to the multi-point interactive white board.  Obviously instead of the IR pen can you use your fingers with the reflective tape?

Welcome!

If you get a clear reflection from your fingertips i think it can work out- but it will be harder to do a calibration since you will work in the air with your fingers (like Keanu Reeves movie)

You can't work on a surface and rely on that passive reflection without using FTIR like in the NUIgroup's applications and sceens (have a look at their videos- they are impressive)

i destroy more stuff than i get workin, but i have an idea.let's say that you get the multi finger tracking accuracy fine tuned... now picture joe musician sitting in his poorboy recording studio using his his ten greedy digits to control the likes of a virtual ssl mixing console. costwise, this would be like buying the beach for the price of a grain of sand.
any takers?
