Can you tell the brand / name of the tape you use ?

I have tried so many shiny tapes but none of them worked;
even the Reflexite 3M produces no result,

Well, actually it works, but only a few inches away and for a few seconds,

I have rebuilt 2 IR Leds walls, thinking it was not powerful enough,

Suprisingly, the ESD package that envelops new hard drives, works rather well but not optimal,

So far, i have spent +150 to try to make this thing work ,,,

I am in France, i don't necessarily have all the things you can get in US,
found some great tape but it's only sold to professionnals;

That'd be cool if you can provide some exact name / brands of the tape;

Thanks a lot :-)

Hey, not sure if you are still monitoring this post, but I managed to track down some tape that seems to work. I ordered it from here:

I searched and searched for this tape straight from 3M, but this is the only reference I could find on the web!
Other places to look, are military surplus. I found several web sites selling "Glint Tape". Apparently this stuff is not reflective to visible light, but is to ir light, making it visible in Night Vision goggles such as the military might use. Unfortunately, most of the web sites I found would only sell to military or police. But, you might try the local army surplus and see if they will sell it to you.

Happy Hunting!

I can visit my local handicraft-store and try to find out what brand I use and where they get it from. On the strip I have at home there is no markings, no branding, no productnumber or anything.
