O.k. I'm new to the forum but I get the idea. Schools have been buying junk and paying out the nose for it. When they see a cheaper version (mimio), they jump at it. The school I work for as a tech is not getting funds this year. I have taken PCs from other schools that were marked to be surplussed (destroyed or sold for scrap), and pieced them together to replace our 10-12yr old macs. Its a sad situation. So when I stumbled on Johnny's vid, I thought, wow! Its not just a toy or someone's way of showing what else can be done with a tool. It is proof that ingenuity is not dead. That solutions can be found to problems without waiting for big corporations to show us the way to spend our money. My question is, how soon can I show this to the county (district) reps that just bought mimios or the more expensive IAWBs? I can't wait to see their faces. It can't be a secret that this is going to help students pay attention in class too! I just read an online study from england that tracked students for 6 yrs after giving all teachers an IAWB and the results are incredible.
