A number of users have (searched everywhere but couldn't find). The problem is potentially two fold.
1. External unintentional IR-source (other device or sun)
2. Wiimote identifying IR-Led and IR-led reflection separately.
How to diagnose:
1. At night (when no sunlight, even a pinpick hole of direct sunlight may be detected) test with lights ON if still 2 sources then rule out sun light
2. At night (when no sunlight, even a pinpick hole of direct sunlight may be detected) test with lights OFF if still 2 sources then rule out artificial lighting
3. At night with lights OFF use a mobile phone camera (one with IR sensitive camera) look around your room and see if your camera detects unintentional IR-source, if you see none then rule that out.
4. At night with lights out use your IR-Pen take a photo of the IR-Light see how close it is together. If reasonably close wiimote will track as 1 source if appart may track as two.
5. Use Jasonpsmiths Presenter application (in downloads) it has a IR-Camera view that shows the epi-centre of the detected IR-sources. This may also give you a clue.
