How would I set my IR light to be used only to move the mouse and not hold down click every time it is turned on?
(essentially I just want the IR LED to cause movement of the mouse and nothing else)

Hi,
You can set Smoothboard to Cursor Motion Only. This can be found in Smoothboard Settings->Whiteboard->Cursor Control

Thanks, I just came back to reply and say I got it all working using the led for only mouse movement with a glovepie script inverting the Y axis of the mouse movement to achieve what I wanted.
Also thanks for the creation of Smoothboard, it is very nice software.
