It seems to have the perfect whiteboard system, using 2 wiimotes (less loss of signal?). It has the ability to track when the pen is touching the screen, no pressing buttons to turn the light off and on.  Anyone thought of using a system like this in place of the wiiwhiteboard?

Looks nice.
On the Willi site, they have a link to a 3d IR tracking demo using 2 wiimotes, and they have the source opened.

that code could be a great base for something like what we have seen above.

As for using that for the wiiwhiteboard, that requires pretty heavy set up instead of just pointing the wiimotes at the whiteboard (attaching them in to the top of the screen in a specific range of angles).
Although, like that they could differ between a mouse movement (when you dont actually touch the screen, just hovering above it) which shows the cursor move, and a mouse click, when you actually touch the screen. That could be cool

I hope that this gets added to the white board program soon. The kids in my class have difficulty decompressing the momentary switch before they remove their hand. They also have difficulty staying out of the camera's line of sight.
