Wii Motion Plus

Announced at E3, the Wii Motion Plus is going to allow a greater and smoother connection. Can this be used for a smoother interaction on the Wiimote Whiteboard, and if so, will it be automatic, or will it require a plug-in (or something like that).

Is this the add-on from
http://www.wiimoteproject.com/general-discussion/new-wiimote-add-on-from-nintendo!!/
?
My understanding this is just additional accelerometers and will have no effect on the Whiteboard. I doubt they will change the Bluetooth connectvity, no need as when in the Wii environment it works well, they don't care about WiiHacks!
But others may know more

The Motion Plus isnt added accelerometers, its a single axis high resolution gyroscope.
It will only be used for motion, and as such wont affect the whiteboard an iota.

And it won't affect the connectivity either... so our problems will still be there...
But if someone creates an application that requires movements of the wiimote it might be an asset...
(as we mostly use the IR-camera)

Hey guys,
Using GlovePIE, its simple to assign any movement of any Wii device to programs. What i am looking forward to is the ability for GlovePIE to support the MotionPlus addon so moving (walking forward) in 3d space can be done by simply moving your hand forward directly towards your screen. Would love to see this happen in the future as there would be so many applications/games that could utilize it.
Cheers,

I'm hoping it will have more implciations for the presenter application. Removing the need for a static IR-Source. It could potentially work just like the Logitech Air mouse:

which retails for $200Aus plus.
