Title: WiimoteWhiteboard v0.3 can't be launched
Post by: Gregory74 on December 08, 2008, 12:17:56 PM
Hi,
First sorry for the bad English, or wrong words I use to describe my problems, I don't wrote it very well. (I'm French)
I've got a problem with this program. I can't launch it.
I've dowloaded it via Jonny Lee's website in .zip version.
I've extracted in on my desktop and when I double click on the .exe, it tell me I must install .NET Frameworks V2.0.50727
But, one thing I don't understand in the read me is this sentence:
Launch "WiimoteWhiteboard.exe" in the root directly of the archive.
What does it mean?
Because I've tried to put the file direcly in C: and then launch it, but it doesn't change anything...

Thanks for your help, I'm sure it's a stupid thing  :-[

You just need to load microsoft .Net Framework:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en)

I suggest you use Boonjin's Wiimote Smoothboard as he has fixed many of the bugs and included lots of functionality over the Wiimote Whiteboard v0.3.
http://www.wiimoteproject.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;id=6 (http://www.wiimoteproject.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;id=6)

Ignor "Launch "WiimoteWhiteboard.exe" in the root directly of the archive." this will be fixed by the .Net Framework.

I also suggest you run a full windows update and select all available updates.

goodluck

Thanks benpaddlejones, it was that.

I have updated my .NET Frameworks, and it works fine now...
It's great to play with my IR pen on the screen !  :D
